Ruby Lissi tritt in die Fußstapfen einer österreichischen Ikone, das Hotel ist nämlich nach der viel gereisten Kaiserin Elisabeth benannt. Wir haben uns von den zahlreichen Reisen der berühmten Namensgeberin inspirieren lassen und alte Eisenbahnwaggons, Dampfschiffe und Heißluftballons ins Design von Lissis Bar aufgenommen. Auf der Abflugtafel erfolgen währenddessen die letzten Aufrufe für Rundflüge der etwas anderen Art.

Früher beherbergte Ruby Marie Österreichs erstes Warenhaus. Ruby Sofie beherbergte in einem früheren Leben die Sofiensäle, ein großes Badehaus aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Als sich herausstellte, dass der Saal über eine fantastische Akustik verfügt, wurden dort, wo einst Badegäste unter der Dusche sangen, bald Konzerte und Gala-Events veranstaltet. Was auch immer du bei deinem Aufenthalt in der Stadt bevorzugst, Ruby erwartet dich mit dem passenden Hotel. Die Stadt Wien ist in Bezirke aufgeteilt; jeder Bezirk hat seinen eigenen Charakter und einen besonderen Ort, den man unbedingt gesehen haben sollte.

Innenstadt

Der 1. Bezirk, die Innere Stadt, ist das Herz Wiens und die Heimat der Wiener Staatsoper, des Stephansdoms, der Hofburg und des wunderschönen Stadtparks. In diesem Bezirk findest du auch Ruby Lissi. Um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu entdecken, empfiehlt es sich, die Ringstraße entlangzuspazieren, die um den 1. Bezirk herumführt. Natürlich kannst du den Weg auch mit der Straßenbahn abfahren.


Wer auf der Suche nach etwas Abwechslung ist, kann dem Fluss nach Südosten zur Landstraße (dem 3. Bezirk) und zur Ruby Sofie folgen. Diese ruhige Ecke der Stadt war einst das Diplomatenviertel Wiens. Hier erwarten dich Gebäude mit prachtvoller Architektur und viele süße Ecken, an denen du einen Kaffee und ein Stück Sachertorte genießen kannst.

Museen

Wenn du in dieser Gegend unterwegs bist, solltest du unbedingt im Schloss Belvedere vorbeischauen, denn hier gibt es wunderschöne Architektur und herausragende Kunst zu bestaunen, darunter Klimts berühmter Kuss. Fans von alternativer Kunst sollten sich das farbenfrohe Hundertwasserhaus und das Fälschermuseum auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen.

Etwas Bildung gefällig? Dann mach dich auf den Weg zurück in den 1. Bezirk und besuche das MuseumsQuartier: Hier wird Kunstfreunden mit dem Leopold Museum, dem mumok und dem Kunsthistorischen Museum ein stundenlanges Vergnügen geboten, während das Naturhistorische Museum mit Dino-Knochen und Meteoriten aufwartet.

Shopping

Shopaholics kommen im 7. Bezirk – auch bekannt als Neubau – auf ihre Kosten. Das Gebäude, in dem Ruby Marie untergebracht ist, war früher ein großes Kaufhaus, und die Straße unterhalb des Kaufhauses ist heute noch ein wahres Shopping-Paradies. Die Mariahilfer Straße ist gesäumt von internationalen Marken und unabhängigen Boutiquen – ein großartiger Ort für einen kleinen Shopping-Trip der Alternative.
