Welcome to Ruby Stella, where unforgettable events come to life. Tucked away down a narrow London lane, our venue draws inspiration from the literary legacy of Charles Dickens. Our 24-hour bar celebrates the history of publishing with a cosy atmosphere, while our charming courtyard terrace offers a delightful setting for al fresco gatherings. Enjoy buffet-style dining and expertly mixed drinks from our curated packages.

Capacity

  • 194 m²
  • Enjoy our cosy indoor spaces, perfect for year-round gatherings of up to 120 guests. Planning a seated event? We can easily accommodate up to 80 guests.
  • Our courtyard terrace accommodates up to 80 guest, with the flexibility to move indoors if it rains.
  • Sunny skies? Delight in our terrace's charm until 10 pm.

Food & drinks

  • While we don’t operate a restaurant, our Italian-influenced snack buffet is sure to delight your taste buds.
  • You can choose your drinks from our pre-selected packages at the bar, freshly mixed by our talented barkeepers. Our standard menu is not available for events.
  • Feeling like a cocktail mixologist? Help yourself at our self-service Gin bar.
  • Have special requests for bringing your own beverage or food specialities? We’re happy to accommodate for an extra charge.
  • If our menu doesn’t quite fit your needs, or if you’re planning an event for over 50 people, we can recommend trusted external caterers. Alternatively, feel free to bring your favourite caterer.

Music

  • Enjoy free tunes from Ruby Radio, or let us connect you to our local Ruby Artists. 
  • Want to bring your favourite artist or band? Awesome. Simply make sure they get their gear, including speakers. 
  • Prefer your own music? No worries, just bring your equipment. Remember, the organizer needs to register music licences.
  • To keep everyone happy, the volume should be guest-friendly. After midnight, indoor music should be at a background level, and outdoor music must wrap up by 10 pm.

Consumption

  • For gatherings with 20 to 50 attendees, a minimum spend of €50 (gross) per person and a welcome drink is required, along with a pre-selection of drinks to ensure a pleasant reception.
  • For events up to 75 guests, the minimum spend increases to €75 (gross) per person, along with the selection of a drink package.
  • For larger events with more than 75 guests, a minimum spend of €100 (gross) per person is required.
  • For events with fewer than 20 guests, there's no minimum spend. You can order drinks à la carte instead of picking a package. If you'd like to add food, you can do so in advance.
  • If the agreed minimum spend isn’t met, we’ll list the difference as room rental on the final invoice.

Cancellation

  • You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 6 weeks before your event.
  • Up to 4 weeks before the event, we charge 20% of the agreed turnover.
  • If you cancel up to 2 weeks before the event, we'll charge you 50%.
  • Up to 1 week before the event, we’ll charge 80%.
  • Anything closer than a week, it's 100%.
  • And remember, if you can't make it, we'll miss you, but we'll have to charge the full amount.

Payment

  • Please settle the contractually agreed amount by bank transfer no later than 7 days before your event. 
  • Any extra goodies and their costs can be paid on-site with a card on the day.
  • If you can't pay on-site, we'll send an invoice afterward. 
  • We'll email the invoice to the address we've agreed on.

Ruby Stella's a hop and a skip from some of London's top sights, including Covent Garden, Soho and the Tower of London. Farringdon station is an eight-minute walk away, from where it's 40 minutes to Heathrow airport.
