Following in the footsteps of the Italian security service (who used to call our building home), we’ve created a slice of 1970s spy chic, right in the heart of Rome. If these walls could talk, we’re sure they’d share some intriguing secrets.


Our rooms once buzzed with daring plans for covert ops. Now, they serve as a stylish backdrop to laidback late nights and dangerously delicious drinks.


Up on the roof, we’ve swept away the surveillance kit to make way for a sun-soaked, split-level terrace. Our top tip for a sublime sunset? Just add a Negroni Sbagliato. With uninterrupted views towards the Roman Forum and the Vatican, you’ll soon see why the spooks picked this spot to keep watch on the city.

Time to put the Eternal City on pause? Hop in the lift to our penthouse bar and roof terrace. Inside, we’ve given some seventies staples a sophisticated twist. Think bold colours and contrasting textures, with ombre velvet meeting polished chrome, geometric prints and antique oak.

 

Grab a spot at the bar to survey the scene, or go undercover in a cosy corner – cocktail or mocktail in hand, naturally. But of course when in Rome, al fresco is best.

 

Our favourite way to ease into the day? With a cappuccino among the greenery. Then, when it’s time to cool down, you’ll find plenty of soothing shade and loungers for lazing. Mission: accomplished.

Our location

You’ll find Ruby Giulia a ten-minute walk from Roma Termini station, en route to Rome’s top sights. The Trevi Fountain and Roman Forum are both a 15-minute wander away, while you can reach the Colosseum or Pantheon in 20 minutes. For something more sacred, extend your stroll and cross the Tiber to see to the Vatican City in around 45 minutes. From Roma Termini station, the airport’s 30 minutes by train. Good to know

How do I get to Ruby Giulia?

Our address is Via Agostino Depretis 45A, 00184 Rome.


We're a ten-minute walk from Roma Termini station, which is half an hour by train from Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport.

Is there anywhere to park?

We don’t have our own parking, but just a five-minute walk from our hotel you’ll find a public car park, Parcheggio Muoviamo, located at Via del Viminale 3.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 11am.


If you arrive before 3pm, we'll do our best to find you a room. Otherwise, we'll happily look after your bags while you go exploring or grab a drink.


Fancy a lie in? Just ask our hosts for late check-out options when you arrive.


To check in, look for the screen at the bar and tap in your details. Your key card will pop out the slot and you can head straight to your room. If you need any help, just ask.


There's no need to check out. Simply leave your key card at the bar or in the drop box. We'll send the invoice for your stay to the email address you used when booking.

Can I bring my dog to the hotel?

Vacation with your dog? Absolutely – at Ruby, you can enjoy your best travel moments with your loyal companion. The process is simple: choose your desired hotel, select the Wow Room, and book a spot for your four-legged friend. Your dog can stay with us for € 30 per stay.


Since you know best what your furry friend likes, feel free to bring along treats, a bed, and other favourite items.

Lost & found

Left something behind? We'll do our best to reunite you. Just fill in our lost and found form and our housekeeping team will check if it's been handed in.


We can store your lost item for up to six months after your check-out date. After that, we’ll need to make room for the lost treasures of other guests and dispose of any unclaimed belongings. Thank you for your understanding.
