Born in North-East London, Kianja grew up surrounded by Soul, Reggae, and Jazz. Her love for songwriting and performing began at 12 and deepened during her time in Durban, South Africa. Back in London, she honed her craft at the Brit School and Guildhall, balancing her studies with producing songs from home. Her debut EP Glory earned support from BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, and 1Xtra, while her independent releases landed on Spotify’s New Music Friday and playlists for M&S and Body Shop.

Kianja’s live performances have taken her to iconic venues like Ronnie Scott’s, Southbank, and Glastonbury, where she also toured with Jordan Rakei. In 2025, she’ll release Chapter 4, a deeply personal EP exploring womanhood, trauma, and boundaries. Her music blends R&B, Soul, Jazz, and Reggae, with relatable lyrics and catchy melodies.
