Inspired by the vineyards that surround the city of Stuttgart, Ruby Hanna is a love letter to the region's centuries-old wine-making story.
Where once stood a wine merchant’s warehouse, we’ve drawn inspiration from the age of alchemists – the pioneers who first turned humble grapes into purest wine.
From copper stills and antique casks, to lab apparatus, weights and measures, the bar at Hanna charts the trade’s transition from sorcery to modern science.
Crushed velvets in rich, jewel tones meet smoked glass, dark wood and aged leather to create a moody, vintage vibe.
Meanwhile, the modern menu has you covered from the healthy breakfast and barista coffee, to signature cocktails and late-night snacks.
Upstairs, Hanna’s rooms are all styled with Lean Luxury touches, including a big, comfy bed, aromatherapy Ruby Care products, and soft, fluffy towels. There’s also a Marshall amp to give your beats a boost.
Stadtmitte and Österreichischer Platz stations are a short walk away, and many of the main sights are within easy strolling distance.
Stuttgart’s main station is seven minutes away by S-Bahn, and you can be at the airport in around half an hour.

Encircled by vineyards, Stuttgart has for centuries been a centre of wine production. Inspired by the industry’s early, alchemistic days, the 24-hour bar at Ruby Hanna is an atmospheric spot to stop for a snifter or two.
From old oak casks and vintage vats to test tubes, weights and measures, the décor charts the journey from grape to glass, and from ancient days to the modern age.
It’s an inspiring space where people come together to share tall tales and grand plans, catch an up-and-coming band or just unwind with a glass of a local vintage.

Ruby Hanna lies in the heart of Stuttgart’s shopping quarter, a short stroll from the city’s main sights. Follow your nose along Königstrasse past designer stores and high street favourites until you reach the striking cube that is the Kunstmuseum. Packed with contemporary and modern art, there’s also a rooftop restaurant with great views out over the city.
If street food is more your style, be sure to stop off at Markthalle. This bustling, colourful indoor market is a great place to grab some bits for a picnic, along with fresh fruit and veg, and store cupboard staples. On a sunny day, make a beeline for Schlossgarten, stopping off for a snifter at the friendly beer garden.
And of course who’d come to Stuttgart without taking the Mercedes Benz or Porsche Museum for a spin? Both are 20-30 minutes from Hanna by S-Bahn and well worth a visit.
Ruby Hanna's halfway between Stadtmitte and Österreichischer Platz stations, and Stuttgart’s main station is one stop away. From there, you can be at the airport in around half an hour by S-Bahn.

Like you, we travel a lot. And wherever we go, we expect three things: a great night’s sleep, a powerful shower and top-notch connections – both to the city and the WiFi.
What we’re less keen on is paying for extras we never use. In dynamic cities bursting with Michelin stars and foodie pop-ups, room service sandwiches just don’t cut the mustard.
So we set out to create the best of both worlds – hotels with style and substance, but none of those expensive extras.
It’s what we call Lean Luxury.
To us, luxury means laid-back comfort in characterful surroundings, right in the heart of the city.
The lean part is all about being smart with space, streamlining things behind the scenes and doing away with the things you don’t need.
This innovative approach saves us and you money, without compromising on comfort.
Please note, bookings of up to nine rooms can only be made online using a valid credit card.
