Empress meets vintage travel

Following in the footsteps of an Austrian icon, Ruby Lissi takes her name from the 19th-century Empress Elisabeth. Renowned for her globe-trotting diplomacy, Lissi's frequent travels set her apart from other consorts of the day as, criss-crossing the continent, she helped consolidate an empire. That's why we’ve taken design tips from railway carriages, steamships and even hot air balloons, with a few regal details thrown in for good measure. Leather banquettes mingle with plush, buttoned couches and a departure board makes final calls for flights of fancy.

Good to know

How do I get to Ruby Lissi?

You'll find us at Fleischmarkt 19/Laurenzerberg 2, 1010 Vienna.


Wien Mitte station is a ten-minute walk away or three minutes by U-Bahn. Schwedenplatz station is right outside, and the airport's half an hour away by bus or train.

Is there anywhere to park?

We don't have our own car park, but Ruby Lissi guests get an exclusive discount at Garage Georg Cochplatz, just a few minutes’ walk from our door.


Simply park your car, take a regular ticket, then ask a Ruby host to exchange it for a Ruby ticket.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 11am.


If you arrive before 3pm, we'll do our best to find you a room. Otherwise, we'll happily look after your bags while you go exploring or grab a drink.


Fancy a lie in? Just ask our hosts for late check-out options when you arrive.


To check in, look for the screen at the bar and tap in your details. Your key card will pop out the slot and you can head straight to your room. If you need any help, just ask.


There's no need to check out. Simply leave your key card at the bar or in the drop box. We'll send the invoice for your stay to the email address you used when booking.

Lost & found

Left something behind? We'll do our best to reunite you. Just fill in our lost and found form and our housekeeping team will check if it's been handed in.
