Following in the footsteps of an Austrian icon, Ruby Lissi takes her name from the globe-trotting Empress Elisabeth.
Drawing inspiration from our namesake’s numerous voyages, we’ve taken design tips from railway carriages, steamships and hot air balloons, with a few regal details thrown in for good measure.
Lissi’s rooms all reflect our Lean Luxury style, with a big, comfy bed, a rainfall shower and soft, fluffy towels. Meanwhile, smart little extras like a tablet and a Marshall amp transport guests directly to the modern day.
Lissi’s a short stroll from Vienna’s top sights, while Wien Mitte station is three minutes away on the U-Bahn and the airport’s half an hour by bus or train.
Ever the trend-setter, Ruby Marie began life as Austria’s first department store.
From luxe lamps and plush sofas to vintage posters and tailoring tools, the 24-hour bar recalls the opulence and energy of her 1960s heyday, while the modern menu includes a healthy breakfast and barista coffee, eclectic cocktails and tasty snacks.
Marie’s rooms all reflect our Lean Luxury style, with a big, comfy bed, a rainfall shower and soft, fluffy towels. Warm cherry wood contrasts with edgy artwork, while a tablet and a Marshall amp are on hand for your soundtrack.
Marie’s a four-minute walk from Wien-Westbahnhof, which is just 30 minutes from the airport.

Ruby Sofie began life as the Sofiensäle, a grand 19th-century bathhouse.
When it comes to design, we’ve taken cues from our leading lady’s past life, mixing vintage furnishings with statement spotlights and a head-turning piano.
Upstairs, each room reflects our Lean Luxury style, with a big, comfy bed, a rainfall shower and soft, fluffy towels. A few modern touches bring Sofie firmly into the 21st century, like a tablet and a Marshall amp to once again fill the air with music.
Vienna’s historic 1st district is a short stroll away and Wien Mitte station is a five-minute walk, from where the airport’s 16 minutes by train.
Like you, we travel a lot. And wherever we go, we expect three things: a great night’s sleep, a powerful shower and top-notch connections – both to the city and the WiFi.
What we’re less keen on is paying for extras we never use. In dynamic cities bursting with Michelin stars and foodie pop-ups, room service sandwiches just don’t cut the mustard.
So we set out to create the best of both worlds – hotels with style and substance, but none of those expensive extras.
It’s what we call Lean Luxury.
To us, luxury means laid-back comfort in characterful surroundings, right in the heart of the city.
The lean part is all about being smart with space, streamlining things behind the scenes and doing away with the things you don’t need.
This innovative approach saves us and you money, without compromising on comfort.
