Get ready for 17 days of pure joy and festivity at Stuttgart’s legendary Cannstatter Wasen. From September 27 to October 13, 2024, this vibrant Volksfest promises to be an unforgettable celebration. Mark your calendars and join the fun at one of the largest and funnest folk festivals in the world.

Opening Hours

The Cannstatter Wasen opens its doors to revelers every day, offering ample time to soak up the festivities. From Monday to Thursday, the festival grounds are accessible from noon until 11:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the attractions and indulge in delicious food and drinks. On Fridays and Saturdays, the celebration continues late into the night, with the festival running from noon until midnight.

Program Highlights

Opening Ceremony with Keg Tapping
Friday, September 27, 2024, 4:00 PM
Kick off the festivities with a time-honored tradition. Stuttgart's Lord Mayor, Dr. Frank Nopper, will tap the first keg at the Grandls Hofbräu Zelt. The celebration begins with firecrackers and bells announcing the start of beer service across the festival.

Large Historical Folk Festival Parade

Prepare to be dazzled by a vibrant parade featuring over 3,600 participants. Traditional costumes, historical groups, and bands will make their way from Cannstatter Kursaal to the Wasen, creating a spectacle of color and culture.
