Ruby offers free Corona vaccinations

The Ruby Group around founder and CEO Michael Struck offers all 170 employees of the German operations free and voluntary vaccinations in the hotels as well as in the corporate office.

Since the (re-)openings of the Ruby Hotels on 15 March in Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt, free and voluntary corona antigen self-tests (spit tests) have already been made available to the on-site teams and all employees several times a week. The extension of the offer to medical vaccinations of the teams in the hotels, the workspaces and the headquarters is to start as soon as vaccine is available. Protekto Süd GmbH, which supports Ruby in the continuous development of its hygiene concept and the implementation of the vaccinations, expects that vaccinations can start as early as May.

The self-tests and upcoming vaccinations on site are part of the comprehensive Employer Protection Concept, which was implemented in all Ruby locations after the end of the first lockdown and has been continuously adapted and expanded since then. For the best possible protection of the guests and the teams. In addition to the conversion to purely cashless payment transactions in all hotels, this includes a detailed hygiene concept for the rooms, public areas and offices, adaptation of the extensive breakfast offer to the highest possible level of safety, free FFP2 masks, high-quality glass partitions at check-in, as well as self-testing and the upcoming vaccinations.

For the office staff in the home office, measures were already initiated last year to continue to ensure smooth work processes and safety. For example, technical equipment with a mobile phone, laptop and two monitors, as well as round-the-clock IT support have been provided from the beginning. Video meetings in the individual teams and together with the management successfully bring Ruby's well-known flat hierarchies and "open door policy" into the virtual world. The financial employer subsidy for the home office is a matter of course.

"We would have liked the vaccination rate to be more advanced. This is precisely why we bring the vaccinations to our teams on site, because every day counts," explains Michael Struck. "Our Lean Luxury approach, especially with self check-in and check-out, proves to be a win-win situation for our teams and all our guests, with the good feeling of being in safe hands."

With easy self-check-in at all hotels and no check-out required, basically any guest can come and go at Ruby without human contact.
