Hit the lights and roll the cameras: Ruby Ella is live from the Capitol in Cologne. Built on the site of the studio that once hosted Germany’s most popular talk shows, Ella’s roots are well and truly star-studded.


From polished chrome and neon signs to microphones and musical instruments, our design harks back to those heady days, while plush fabrics and smooth curves recall the Capitol’s theatrical beginnings in the 1950s.

Save water, drink cocktails

Help us save water by swapping your daily room clean for a freshen up every three days and have a drink on us. Just ask a host.

Check-in & check-out

Check-in is from 3pm. If you arrive early, we're happy to look after your bags. Check-out is at 11am. Just drop your key card at the bar and we'll email your invoice.

    A short hop by high-speed train, our bright, modern workspace in Dusseldorf draws design inspiration from the grandeur of the city's historic banks. There, you'll find hot desks, co-working tables and meeting rooms with all mod cons. Drop in with a discounted day pass, exclusively for hotel guests.

Our tasty, locally sourced breakfast buffet is served in the bar every morning, along with bottomless barista coffee or organic tea. Tuck in to fresh fruit and superfood cereals, along with wholegrain bread and a delicious selection of meats and cheeses. Our local favourite is halve Hahn. Beautifully simple and incredibly moreish, this combo of rye bread, cheese, mustard and gherkin will set you up for the day. And – contrary to the name – there's not a chicken in sight.
