Located in Hamburg’s bustling press district, Ruby Lotti began life as a publishing house, a bookish big sister to the area’s numerous newspaper offices. From the moon landing to the fall of the Berlin Wall, some of the 20th century’s biggest stories broke in the surrounding streets.


That’s why, when it comes to design, we’ve recalled a golden age, when reporters were roving, the press still used presses and typewriters were cutting edge.

With the North Sea just a stone’s throw away, they’re something of a speciality in this sea-faring city.
