A star is born

Housed in what was once one of Zurich’s first cinemas, Ruby Mimi is a celebration of the early days of Hollywood. When movies were silent, studios flourished and stars were born. 


Leading the charge were five young actors – all called Mimi. Taking our cue from their era-defining spirit and style, we’ve sprinkled a little Hollywood magic throughout our design.

Ruby Mimi is cashless

Say goodbye to rummaging for change and counting out coppers – just tap your card for cocktails, coffees and tasty Italian-inspired snacks at our 24-hour bar.

Save water, drink cocktails

Help us save water by swapping your daily room clean for a freshen up every three days and have a drink on us. Just ask a host.

Check-in & check-out

Check-in is from 3pm. If you arrive early, we're happy to look after your bags. Check-out is at 11am. Just drop your key card at the bar and we'll email your invoice.

The 24-hour bar blends art nouveau elegance with the behind-the-scenes grit of early movie-making – take our cocktails for a spin, try the local tipple or catch a live gig.

Galley for all your needs

You'll find free tea and an iron on floors 1-4, plus a Maxi Bar selling everything from drinks and snacks to umbrellas and toothbrushes.

    Sip, snack and screen

    For over a century, the spot where our bar now stands was a cinema. To celebrate this silver-screened past, we’ve reinstated a cosy movie lounge, with art deco touches and luxurious velvet seats. Grab a drink from the bar and some nibbles from the vending machine, then sit back and relax with a classic. Ask one of our hosts for show times during your stay.

Enjoy our breakfast

Our tasty, locally sourced breakfast buffet is served in the bar every morning, along with bottomless barista coffee or organic tea. Tuck in to fresh fruit and superfood cereals, along with wholegrain bread and a delicious selection of meats and cheeses. For a taste of Zurich, try the fresh butterzopf. This soft, golden, plaited bread is a Sunday staple in Switzerland. Add a generous dollop of jam for a decadent start to the day. 


Didn't book breakfast? No problem. We'd still love to see you there. It's 30 CHF, which we'll charge to your card.

Ruby Mimi's a stone’s throw from the River Limmat, Zurich’s old town and the city’s top shopping streets. The main station is a two-minute walk away, from where it's a ten-minute hop to the airport by train.
