your next stop. And, when you're ready for some fresh air, the sprawling Englischer Garten offers an escape from urban life. Hugging the banks of the Isar, it's a beautifully landscaped space for a stroll.

For a vicarious shot of adrenaline, swing by the Eisbach wave. Whatever the weather, you'll find expert surfers braving the chilly water to tackle this standing wave.

As the sun sets, Maximiliansplatz
is the place to be. For foodies, there are endless dinner options, while night owls can happily bar hop until the small hours. For a more laidback vibe, settle in to a beer hall or garden, and while away the evening over Schweinshaxe and a Stein or two.
