Gareth Esson is an alternative folk‑soul artist whose gentle guitar style and soulful voice draw comparisons to Sting, Bill Withers and Tracy Chapman. Growing up as one of nine children in Wolverhampton, he discovered songwriting as a way to entertain his siblings and taught himself guitar as a teenager.

 

His songs range from brutally honest reflections on past relationships to adventurous tales of superheroes and escapades.
