What's new at Ruby

Ruby Group continues to grow its presence in Italy with a new Ruby Hotels project in Milan. Following successful openings in Florence and Rome, the upcoming Ruby hotel marks the group’s third location in the Italian market. Located in the vibrant Isola district, the hotel brings the brand’s Lean Luxury philosophy to one of Europe’s most influential lifestyle destinations. The hotel will feature 128 rooms and reflect Milan’s distinctive urban energy. The project is being developed in partnership with landlord Kervis SGR S.p.A.

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, celebrates the U.S. market debut of its Ruby Hotels brand with a property in the heart of downtown Chicago. Ruby Group will develop and operate the hotel under a 30-year franchise agreement with IHG, overseeing the comprehensive renovation and repositioning of the historic Inn of Chicago building into a vibrant Ruby Hotels property that blends soulful design with its storied past.

Nestled in the bustling heart of Clerkenwell, Ruby Hotels is thrilled to announce its latest addition: Ruby Stella Hotel & Bar. As the third Lean Luxury Ruby Hotel in London, Ruby Stella adds a fresh blend of style and heritage to the vibrant city, offering 153 elegantly designed rooms across seven floors, alongside lively public spaces. This new London hotel is spread over 4,038 square feet and draws inspiration from the timeless narratives of Charles Dickens, creating a unique and inspiring experience for guests.

The group continues its Scandinavian expansion with a second Swedish hotel, bringing 78 rooms of Lean Luxury design to Malmö’s creative heart. Located in the lively Davidshall district and developed in partnership with Revelop, the project will transform a former office building into a stylish new destination with vibrant public areas, just minutes from Copenhagen.

Ruby strengthens its leadership team with the return of Jens Gmiat as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Gmiat will help drive the Group’s next phase of growth and the international strategic rollout of its Lean Luxury model.          

Ruby Group has announced plans for its first hotel in Greece, a 114-room Lean Luxury property in the heart of Athens. Located near Omonia Square, the project is being developed in collaboration with real estate partner Primetown Development. The Athens property marks a key milestone in Ruby Group’s continued international growth and strengthens its presence in Southern Europe.
