Se ti interessa la storia, l’Altstadt, la città vecchia, è la tua destinazione. L’architettura ultramoderna e futurisca si contende lo spazio con pittoreschi vicoli ciottolati ed edifici storici, come il leggendario campanile della chiesa di St Lambertus, gallerie d’arte e musei.


Per bere qualcosa, consigliamo di andare verso le rive del Reno. Nelle giornate soleggiate, la passeggiata lungofiume con i suoi bar e ristoranti è la meta più ambita della città. Il luogo ideale per prendere una altbier, la maltata scura tipica della regione, guardando il viavai dei passanti e le imbarcazioni che scivolano sul Reno.


Se l’appetito si fa sentire, rituffati nel centro verso la movimentata Carlsplatz, dove il tuo spirito gourmet troverà sicuramente pane per i suoi denti.

Shopping

Dopo avere rifatto il pieno di energia, torna in pista e dai un’occhiata alle vetrine della Königsallee (o «Kö» come viene chiamata a Düsseldorf), la strada più alla moda di tutta la Germania con le boutique di tutti i grandi nomi della moda mondiale. Che si effettuino acquisti o meno, la Kö è sicuramente un’esperienza turistica da fare.

Vita notturna

Quando cala la sera, le opzioni per cenare sono quasi infinite. Se preferisci un’atmosfera vivace e disimpegnata, la Ratinger Straße fa proprio al caso tuo. Soprannominata «il bar più lungo del mondo», questa via è una delle più antiche della città, il posto ideale per assaggiare la birra locale.
