Famosa per le sue numerosissime birrerie e per la sua cucina sostanziosa e saporita, Monaco è una tappa obbligata per gli estimatori della buona birra. Oltre ai Bierstein, i tradizionali boccali bavaresi in ceramica, e allo Schweinshaxe, il saporito stinco di maiale arrosto, l’accogliente capoluogo della Baviera ha però molto altro da offrire ai suoi visitatori: splendidi parchi, vivaci mercati, passeggiate in centro città e un fascino davvero cosmopolita. Una premessa d’obbligo che nulla toglie all’incomparabile atmosfera delle birrerie all’aperto nelle giornate di sole, che è assolutamente da provare.


Ruby Rosi è situato nel centro pulsante della città e ha collegamenti super rapidi con l’aeroporto, la città e l’intero continente. Agli amanti della calma e della tranquillità raccomandiamo invece Ruby Lilly, situato a pochi passi dal centro e in prossimità dei maggiori parchi e musei di Monaco.

Varcare la soglia di Ruby Lilly è come tornare indietro nel tempo, alla Monaco degli scintillanti anni Ottanta, in cui le ore della vivace e stravagante vita notturna della «schickeria» scorrevano tra fiumi di champagne. Musicassette, televisori a tubo catodico e un bizzarro lampadario fatto di bottiglie di champagne caratterizzano l’ambiente di Ruby Lilly, che richiama in tono scanzonato e affettuoso la decadenza e l’ostentata joie de vivre del bel mondo della Monaco di allora.

Monaco è famosa all’estero soprattutto per l’Oktoberfest, ma ha molti altri lati tutti da scoprire e tutti facilmente raggiungibili sia da Ruby Lilly che da Ruby Rosi.

Centro città

La città vecchia è un il punto di partenza ideale per un tour esplorativo. Comincia da Marienplatz, la piazza centrale di Monaco: l’imponente Frauenkirche con le sue due torri è un ottimo punto di orientamento. Se arrivi in tempo, potresti assistere ai rintocchi dell’elaborato orologio-carrillon Glockenspiel della torre del Nuovo municipio.

Shopping

Da questa posizione puoi raggiungere in pochi passi le mete più ambite per lo shopping in città. Nella Sendlinger Strasse e nelle vie circostanti si affollano boutique e negozi che meritano almeno un’occhiata.


Se il languorino si fa sentire, prosegui verso il Viktualienmarkt. Questo mercato vanta ben 200 anni di storia ed l’ideale per curiosare tra le bancarelle e provare al volo lo street-food locale. Se preferisci sederti, c’è anche una birreria all’aperto, dove potrai fermarti a bere una classica birra bavarese.

Musei

Se il tuo appetito è invece squisitamente culturale, fai rotta su Königsplatz e sui magnifici musei e gallerie del Kunstareal. Se non hai voglia di stare al chiuso, l’enorme parco Englischer Garten è l’ideale per una boccata d’aria e una fuga dalla vita cittadina. Il lungofiume dell’Isar invita a una passeggiata e ammirare il paesaggio.

Giardino Inglese

Per una scarica indiretta di adrenalina fai un salto alla Eisbachwelle, letteralmente l’«onda del ruscello di ghiaccio», dove con qualsiasi condizione meteorologica esperti surfisti sfidano le acque gelide per dominare l’onda fluviale cittadina più costante del mondo.

Vita notturna

Dopo il tramonto Maximiliansplatz è il punto di ritrovo più gettonato di Monaco, dove i gourmet troveranno infinite opzioni per cenare, mentre i nottambuli avranno solo l’imbarazzo della scelta per arrivare alle prime luci dell’alba. Per un’atmosfera più rilassata, accomodati in una birreria al chiuso o all’aperto e prova il sostanzioso stinco di maiale arrosto bavarese da accompagnare rigorosamente con un boccale di birra... o due.
