Ruby Sofie

L’edificio in cui oggi è alloggiato Ruby Sofie nasce come Sofienbad, precursore del XIX secolo dei moderni centri di benessere Spa. Per la sua acustica straordinaria, scoperta grazie ai suoi frequentatori che cantavano sotto la doccia, il Sofienbad diventò il Sofiensaal, ossia un auditorium e una sala per concerti e balli di gala, sul cui storico palco sono saliti artisti del calibro di Johann Strauss e dei Kinks. Situato nel vecchio palazzo della posta di Vienna, il Ruby Paul Workspace occupa uno degli edifici più belli della città.

Qualunque sia il tuo stile, a Vienna Ruby ha l’hotel giusto per te. Dal centro della città verso la periferia, Vienna è divisa in distretti, ognuno con il suo carattere unico e i suoi luoghi imperdibili.

Centro città

Il distretto numero uno, l’Innere Stadt, è il cuore della città e sede del Teatro dell’Opera di Vienna, della Cattedrale di Santo Stefano e dell’Hofburg, oltre che dello splendido Stadtpark. In questo distretto trovi anche Ruby Lissi. Il modo più facile per vedere tutti i principali luoghi di interesse in questa zona è seguire la Ringstrasse, che circonda il distretto numero uno, se preferisci anche in tram.


Per cambiare ritmo, segui il fiume andando verso sud-est fino alla Landstrasse (il distretto numero tre) dove troverai Ruby Sofie. Questo angolo tranquillo della città era in passato il quartiere diplomatico di Vienna, come testimonia l’architettura sfarzosa e i tanti bar pasticceria in cui fermarsi per un caffè e una fetta di Sacher.

Musei

Se sei nei paraggi, fai un salto al Castello del Belvedere per ammirare la sua meravigliosa architettura e le famosissime opere d’arte custodite al suo interno, tra cui il Bacio di Klimt. Agli amanti dell’arte alternativa consigliamo di visitare la colorata Casa di Hundertwasser e il Museo dei Falsi.


Per appagare invece la tua sete di cultura e di sapere, ritorna verso il centro della città e sul tuo cammino troverai il complesso museale di Vienna, noto come MuseumsQuartier, dove troverai il Leopold Museum, il mumok e il Kunsthistorisches Museum e il Museo di Storia naturale.

Shopping

Agli amanti dello shopping, consigliamo invece il distretto numero sette, conosciuto anche come Neubau. In questa zona si trova anche Ruby Marie che in passato era la sede dei primi grandi magazzini di tutta l’Austria: ancora oggi la via in cui è situato è un paradiso per gli acquisti. Costeggiata da negozi di marchi internazionali e da boutique indipendenti, la Mariahilfer Strasse è indicatissima per lo shopping terapeutico.
