Gráinne Hunt is a queer nu-folk singer-songwriter with a rich and powerful voice described as “like complex coffee.” Blending heartfelt lyrics with striking vocals, she draws comparisons to Tracy Chapman, Brandi Carlile, and Natalie Merchant.

 

She has shared stages with U2 and Glen Hansard, opened for Gladys Knight and Mary Black, and earned an O-1 Visa after her 2024 Folk Alliance showcase. Recent tours include the US, UK, and Australia, along with the premiere of her show Queer Arrivals. Known for lyrical depth and strong musicianship, she also collaborates with guitarist Brendan Walsh and in the literary folk project Hibsen.
