What's new at Ruby

The Ruby Group announces a new Lean Luxury hotel in Geneva, developed in partnership with PSP Swiss Property, one of Switzerland’s leading real estate companies. The project marks the group’s second hotel in Geneva, the group’s third hotel in Switzerland, and the 34th hotel of the group, overall.

As the Ruby Group continues its international expansion, the promotion of Fabian Zellinger to Chief Growth & Innovation Officer marks a step in strengthening its focus on further growth, enhancing cross-functional collaboration, and supporting long-term international scale.

The Ruby Group strengthens its presence in Germany with its Berlin debut – marking the first signing under the Ruby Hotels brand since it joined the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio in February this year. The upcoming Ruby Hotel will be developed in partnership with leading real estate investment firm Empira Group and operated by The Ruby Group. Located in the renowned Ku'damm Eck building on the prestigious Kurfürstendamm boulevard, the hotel will feature approximately 375 rooms, offering a stylish and contemporary hospitality experience in one of Berlin’s most iconic districts.

The Ruby Group is expanding its presence in Northern Europe with a new project in Denmark. The upcoming Ruby Hotel in Copenhagen will be developed in partnership with long-term development partner ECE. Located in the prestigious Frederiksberg district, the hotel will feature 219 rooms, offering a modern and stylish accommodation experience in one of the city’s most sought-after areas.

Ruby SARL (Ruby Group) has agreed on a strategic cooperation with InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG), by which the Ruby Group will use IHG’s global distribution platform, the IHG One Rewards loyalty program, and IHG’s marketing and sales network at the global level. The deal involves IHG acquiring the Ruby brand and, consequently, the franchise business opportunity, while the Ruby Group focuses on, and continues to grow, its business with its current lease model. The Ruby Group remains independent, with no changes at the shareholder level. The move is expected to accelerate Ruby Group’s already strong growth, providing the company with growth platforms outside of Europe, particularly in the U.S. and Asia. In parallel, the Ruby Group aims for the cooperation to further improve its price realization and hotel margin contribution.

Ruby proudly unveils its first hotel project in Malta, following the opening of Ruby Ninu Workspaces in February last year. Located in the heart of Valletta’s historic old town, this long-anticipated project will feature approximately 88 beautifully appointed rooms. In partnership with the VBL Group, Valletta’s largest private real estate owner and hotel developer, Ruby Hotels is excited to bring this vision to life, further enriching the vibrant hospitality scene of this iconic city.
