Under the leadership of founder and CEO Michael Struck, Ruby Hotels continues its expansion journey with the introduction of its Lean Luxury concept to Rotterdam. The project, a conversion of office space into a 225-room hotel, promises a seamless blend of contemporary design and functional elegance.

Strategically positioned between the iconic Boompjes skyline and the bustling city centre, Rotterdam Glashaven enjoys a prime location that embodies the city's cosmopolitan spirit. Nestled within the Maritime District, surrounded by historic ports and the majestic Maas River, the hotel offers a tranquil retreat while remaining within arm's reach of Rotterdam's cultural and culinary gems.

The hotel will be developed by Foruminvest, an award-winning real estate developer, with a track record of major hotel developments across Europe. Elena Günther-Jakobs, Associate Director Development Northern & Central Europe, comments: "Rotterdam is a city pulsating with energy and creativity, making it an ideal destination for our target group", says Günther-Jakobs. "We are thrilled to collaborate with Foruminvest and leverage their expertise to introduce Ruby's signature blend of style, comfort, and affordability to this dynamic market."

Renowned for its forward-thinking architecture and cultural diversity, Rotterdam is a magnet for business travellers and leisure seekers alike. With its booming economy and robust tourism sector, the city’s hotel market has been growing stably. Moreover, Rotterdam's proximity to Schiphol Airport presents an attractive gateway for international travellers seeking a unique Dutch experience beyond Amsterdam's confines.

Bob van de Geer, Senior Manager Developments & Acquisitions, comments: ‘’The development of this hotel aligns seamlessly with Foruminvest’s investment strategy, focused on prime locations in major European cities and popular tourist destinations‘’, says Van de Geer. ‘’We are truly grateful to collaborate on this project with Ruby, a team of true hotel professionals. This project marks the beginning of a successful partnership.’’

With a portfolio that includes prestigious projects and a focus on sustainable development, Foruminvest shares Ruby's vision for creating exceptional spaces that resonate with modern travellers. As the transformation of the former office building unfolds under the guidance of Foruminvest, Ruby's in-house design team, led by Matthew Balon, is poised to infuse the hotel with its signature blend of style and functionality.
