Lenbachhaus

Around the corner of Ruby Lilly, located directly at the historic Königsplatz, you can find the Lenbachhaus. A landmark of Munich's cultural landscape. The arts museum hosts permanent exhibitions of the artists group ‘Der Blaue Reiter’ including paintings by Franz Marc and Wassily Kandinsky as well as the collection known by the term ‘Neue Sachlichkeit’. Moreover, by temporary exhibitions the Lenbachhaus offers its audience to engage with changing art works. Beside the exhibits, the building itself is worth a visit. Formerly owned by Franz von Lenbach, the villa entails a wonderful garden, which invites guests to take a break from the busy city life and enjoy its beauty.
