Munich, home of Ruby Lilly and our Corporate office, is one of our favourite cities to live in. Especially in the warmer days of the year when everyone spends most of the day outside, the city’s got a very special vibe and offers tons of things to do.
Summer in Munich has so many faces: people on their bikes with a surfboard in their hands heading down to the Eisbach river, long queues in front of the best ice cream stores in town, beautiful sunsets at Hackerbrücke or listening to one of the many open air concerts.
There are tons of reasons why we can’t wait for summer in Munich. We’ve listed our top 5 reasons for you to come visit us:
Gärtnerplatz is the heart of the vibrant Glockenbach district in the city centre. This beautiful square offers many nice cafes, shops and the fabulous Gärtnerplatz theater. This is the spot to flaunt your pretty summer dress, put on your stylish sunglasses and relax in the sun with an Aperitivo or some ice cream.
From famous Eisbach wave with its surfers and the lively lawns in the south to the peaceful area in the north, the English Garden is the green soul of the city. Nothing feels better after a long day in the heat than jumping into the Eisbach or the Schwabinger Bach, two small rivers crossing the park
In Munich, you’ll find lots of cafés for a little coffee break on a hot day. From sweet little bakeries to stylish Third Wave coffee shops – check out our Munich City Guide to see all our current favourites.
In case you need a break from the city hustle, you don’t need to go far to relax in the nature. The Isar river is surrounded by very spacious river banks where you can laze in the sun, go for a dip or even have barbecue with your friends.
There’s no better time than sundowner time. At Ruby Lilly, we’ve got a small rooftop terrace with an awesome view over the city. So grab your drink in our bar downstairs and head up to the 7th floor.
We’d love to have you over this year and show you this amazing city. If you have any questions, our hosts on-site are happy to help you with any recommendations. See you soon.
