Situated in the middle of Mariahilfer Straße, the Ruby Marie is in the immediate vicinity of numerous great restaurants. One of the favourite lunch spots is Ivy's Pho House. The bright mini restaurant with its many colorful lanterns reminds of the small Pho bars in Vietnam and one has the feeling to sit in the middle of an Asian city. Next to the small kitchen at the end of the restaurant there is only a small high table in the middle with a few stools, and two narrow counters at the sides.
The concept of Ivy's Pho is quite simple: "Authentic cuisine from North Vietnam with healthy and varied dishes at fair prices". As the name suggests, the legendary Vietnamese bone soup Pho is served in various variations. By the way, Pho is roughly comparable to an Austrian beef boullion - a clear soup that is refined with flavours such as cinnamon, star anise and cloves. Rice noodles, soya bean sprouts, fresh vegetables and fresh herbs are used as ingredients. You can also choose from various side dishes such as beef, chicken or tofu. The soup is served separately with fresh herbs such as coriander, Thai basil, Vietnamese basil, fresh chilli and a lime fissure. The spiciness can be added according to taste. In addition to Pho there are also summer rolls or dim sum on the menu.
