Boek je verblijf in het centrum van de stad

München staat vooral bekend om zijn ruime Bierkellers en hartige Beierse gerechten. Maar deze gemoedelijke stad heeft veel meer te bieden dan Steins (bierpotten) en Schweinshaxe (varkenskoteletjes). Je kunt er ook terecht voor lieflijke parken, kleurrijke markten en verrukkelijke gerechten uit alle windstreken. In het centrum kun je zelfs surfen. Kortom: München is een bolwerk van kosmopolitische charme. En op zonnige dagen gaat er niets boven een bezoek aan een van de vele biertuinen.

 

Ruby Rosi heeft supersnelle verbindingen met het vliegveld, het centrum en eigenlijk met heel Duitsland. Deze sprookjesachtige locatie bevindt zich in het midden van alle actie. Al eeuwenlang is Beieren de bakermat van de Duitse folklore en sprookjes. Een ideale plek dus om even aan de werkelijkheid te ontsnappen. München staat misschien nog wel het meest bekend om het Oktoberfest, maar biedt het hele jaar door vertier voor iedereen. En we hebben goed nieuws voor je: vanuit Ruby Lilly en Ruby Rosi bereik je snel alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden.

Stadscentrum

De Altstadt is een ideale plek om met je ontdekkingstocht te beginnen. Begeef je door de kronkelende straten naar de Marienplatz, het centrale plein van München. Je passeert daarbij de imposante Frauenkirche met twee torens. En met de juiste timing krijg je misschien net het carillon van het sierlijke Glockenspiel in de toren van het Neues Rathaus te horen.

Shopping

Op de Marienplatz aangekomen ben je slechts een paar stappen verwijderd van de beste winkellocaties die er in de stad te vinden zijn. In de Sendlinger Straße en de omringende straten, tref je zowel outlets van grote merken aan als onafhankelijke lokale winkels, die absoluut de moeite van een bezoekje waard zijn.

Begint je maag te knorren van alle actie? Zet dan je vizier op de Viktualienmarkt. Deze 200 jaar oude markt is een ideale locatie om proviand voor een picknick in te slaan. Er is ook een biertuin, waar je energie en drinken kunt bijtanken.

Musea

Cultuurliefhebbers kunnen hun hart ophalen op de Königsplatz en in de imposante museums en galerieën van de Kunstareal. Als je aan frisse lucht toe bent, kun je even aan het stadsleven ontsnappen in de wijdse Englischer Garten. Het gebied rond de oevers van de rivier Isar is vanwege het prachtig vormgegeven groene landschap de ideale plek voor een wandeling.

Engelse Tuin

Voor een stoot adrenaline ben je bij de Eisbachgolf op de juiste plek. Weer of geen weer, hier zie je geheid stoere surfers het koude water trotseren om op deze woeste golf mee te varen.

Nachtleven

Bij zonsondergang is de Maximiliansplatz het mekka voor foodies. Er komt geen einde aan de opties voor een verrukkelijk diner. Nachtbrakers kunnen tot in de kleine uurtjes vrolijk van bar naar bar hoppen. Als je het iets rustiger aan wilt doen, kun je plaatsnemen in een bierhal of biertuin en de avond doorbrengen met een bord Schweinshaxe (varkenskoteletjes) en een Stein (bierpot) of twee.
