Set in a porticoed building overlooking a grand, tree-lined square, Ruby Bea draws inspiration from the artists, thinkers and writers of the Italian Renaissance. In fact, Bea takes her name from Dante Alighieri's inamorata, Beatrice. 


In the friendly bar, our expert mixologists serve up signature cocktails, surrounded by eye-teasing art. Start your evening with a sundowner on our pretty roof terrace, catch a local band or drop in for a mingle any time.

It's all about perspective

Taking our lead from the great artists of the Renaissance, Ruby Bea's a love letter to the blending of classical forms and novel perspectives. In the bar, rich dark hues and warm ochres meet bold, geometric shapes, while marble and mirrors play with light and shade. Bringing a twist to the linear perspective developed by 15th-century Florentine artists, the walls are adorned with eye-catching, mind-bending works inspired by MC Escher and Alessandro Michele.

How do I get to Ruby Bea?

Our address is Piazza della Libertà 16, 50129 Florence. 


We're ten minutes by tram from Florence's main station and half an hour from the airport. The station is Libertá Parterre.

Is there anywhere to park?

For those arriving by car, there's parking available at “Parcheggio Parterre”, just a 3-minute drive from the hotel. Simply head to Via del Ponte Rosso, 4, 50129 Firenze.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 11am.


If you arrive before 3pm, we'll do our best to find you a room. Otherwise, we'll happily look after your bags while you go exploring or grab a drink.


Fancy a lie in? Just ask our hosts for late check-out options when you arrive.


To check in, look for the screen at the bar and tap in your details. Your key card will pop out the slot and you can head straight to your room. If you need any help, just ask.


There's no need to check out. Simply leave your key card at the bar or in the drop box. We'll send the invoice for your stay to the email address you used when booking.

Can I bring my dog to the hotel?

Vacation with your dog? Absolutely – at Ruby, you can enjoy your best travel moments with your loyal companion. The process is simple: choose your desired hotel, select the Wow Room, and book a spot for your four-legged friend. Your dog can stay with us for € 30 per stay.


Since you know best what your furry friend likes, feel free to bring along treats, a bed, and other favourite items.

What are the opening times of the roof terrace?

Our charming roof terrace awaits you daily, from Monday to Sunday from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Escape the city buzz, spend a lazy afternoon basking with a book surrounded by Mediterranean plants, and unwind after a long day with a refreshing cocktail at sunset.

Lost & found

Left something behind? We'll do our best to reunite you. Just fill in our lost and found form and our housekeeping team will check if it's been handed in.


We can store your lost item for up to six months after your check-out date. After that, we’ll need to make room for the lost treasures of other guests and dispose of any unclaimed belongings. Thank you for your understanding.
