Ruby Stella Hotel & Bar

A cozy, dimly lit restaurant with wooden tables and chairs, red table lamps, bookshelves, indoor plants, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Lose yourself in
literary London

Tucked away down a narrow London lane, Ruby Stella takes her name and inspiration from one of the neighbourhood’s historic literary lights: Charles Dickens.

From delicate quills to heavy presses, the 24-hour bar celebrates every step of the publication process, right up to the gilt-edged, marbled end papers.

Swing by to catch an up-and-coming band, grab a drink with friends, or settle in for a sundowner on our courtyard terrace. And when it's time to unwind, you'll find a haven of Lean Luxury calm in your room.

Ruby Stella is within strolling distance of the shops and theatres of the West End, along with historic sights like St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London. And for foodies, there are tasty spots galore, right on the doorstep.

  • A dimly lit vintage room with two armchairs—one black leather, one blue fabric—around a lamp on a small table. A tall wooden cabinet with drawers and a typewriter is on the right, and lush plants are on the left.
  • A cozy seating area with brown leather upholstered bench, wallpaper with ornate gray floral patterns, a wall sconce, and a wooden bookshelf displaying vintage books, decorative items, and an owl figurine.
  • A cozy, dimly lit café corner with wooden chairs, a round table, a glowing table lamp, potted plants, and a mirror reflecting a bar area in the background.
  • A stylish workspace with a brown leather chair, a white desk, a silver lamp, a black speaker, a notepad with a pen, and a colorful magazine titled BRUMM beside a power outlet on a wood-paneled wall.
  • ""

Bookbinding meets design

A stone’s throw from the old walled City of London, Farringdon has a long history as a creative hub, with jewellers and bookbinders calling it home for centuries. With this rich history in mind, we set to work creating a cosy, bookish space. Drawing on Charles Dickens’ local associations, you’ll spot ink pots and quills, alongside embossing tools and, of course, plenty of vintage books. For a Victorian vibe, embossed leather, burnished brass and deep-hued tweeds bring old-world ambience.
