Space race meets design

Built in the early days of the space race, Ruby Luna's sleek, skyscraper design marked a giant leap in the city's architecture. And she still stands out from the crowd today. In the bar, we've taken design inspiration from the 50s and 60s, blending sleek curves and starbursts with bright chrome and playful pops of colour. For stargazers and daydreamers, the Observatory roof terrace is the place to be. By day, the sky’s the limit with incredible views of the city. After dark's when the magic really happens though, with cocktails served under a blanket of stars.

How do I get to Ruby Luna?

You'll find us at Kasernenstrasse 39, 40213 Dusseldorf.


Benrather Strasse U-Bahn station is right on the doorstep, from where the airport is around half an hour, with a quick change en route.

Is there anywhere to park?

We don't have our own car park, but Ruby Luna guests can get an exclusive discount at Q-Park Kö59 and at Q-Park Stilwerk, just a couple of minutes’ walk from our door. Simply book your spot in advance.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 11am.


If you arrive before 3pm, we'll do our best to find you a room. Otherwise, we'll happily look after your bags while you go exploring or grab a drink.


Fancy a lie in? Just ask our hosts for late check-out options when you arrive.


To check in, look for the screen at the bar and tap in your details. Your key card will pop out the slot and you can head straight to your room. If you need any help, just ask.


There's no need to check out. Simply leave your key card at the bar or in the drop box. We'll send the invoice for your stay to the email address you used when booking.

What are the opening times of the roof terrace?

Our Observatory roof terrace is open from Monday to Thursday from 05:00 pm to 10:00 pm and at weekends (Friday to Sunday) from 03:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Escape the city buzz, spend a lazy afternoon basking with a book above the skyline of Dusseldorf and unwind after a long day with a refreshing cocktail at sunset.
