For over a century, the spot where our bar now stands was a cinema. Adorned with art nouveau elegance, it was a place to see and be seen.


Inspired by this cinematic past, the bar's now home to vintage cameras, costumes and early film posters, along with a thoroughly modern menu of signature cocktails. Swing by for live gigs, drinks with friends, and classic screenings in our beautiful movie lounge. And when it's time to unwind, step behind the scenes to a haven of Lean Luxury calm: your room.


Our central spot is a great base for exploring the city, strolling by the lake or shopping 'til you drop. And with Zurich's main station right across the road, you can be at the airport in under 20 minutes.

Hollywood meets history

Housed in what was once one of Zurich’s first cinemas, Ruby Mimi is a celebration of the early days of Hollywood. When movies were silent, studios flourished, and stars were born. Leading the charge in this new era of international celebrity were five young starlets – all called Mimi. Taking our cue from their era-defining spirit and style, we’ve sprinkled a little Hollywood magic throughout our design. From rich, velvet furnishings and art nouveau nods, to vintage cameras, lighting and costumes, Ruby Mimi blends the grit and glamour of early movie sets.

Good to know

How do I get to Ruby Mimi?

You'll find us at Beatenplatz 4, 8001 Zurich.


Zurich’s main station is a two-minute walk from Mimi’s front door, from where the airport’s around ten minutes by train or S-Bahn.

Is there anywhere to park?

We don't have our own car park, but Ruby Mimi guests get an exclusive discount at Parkhaus Urania, just a few minutes’ walk from our door. Simply park your car, take a regular ticket, then ask a Ruby host to exchange it for a Ruby ticket.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is 11am.


If you arrive before 3pm, we'll do our best to find you a room. Otherwise, we'll happily look after your bags while you go exploring or grab a drink.


Fancy a lie in? Just ask our hosts for late check-out options when you arrive.


To check in, look for the screen at the bar and tap in your details. Your key card will pop out the slot and you can head straight to your room. If you need any help, just ask.


There's no need to check out. Simply leave your key card at the bar or in the drop box. We'll send the invoice for your stay to the email address you used when booking.

Can I bring my dog to the hotel?

Vacation with your dog? Absolutely – at Ruby, you can enjoy your best travel moments with your loyal companion. The process is simple: choose your desired hotel, select the Wow Room category, and book a spot for your four-legged friend. Your dog can stay for 50 CHF per stay.


Since you know best what your furry friend likes, feel free to bring along treats, toys, a bed, and other favorite items.

Lost & found

Left something behind? We'll do our best to reunite you. Just fill in our lost and found form and our housekeeping team will check if it's been handed in.


We can store your lost item for up to six months after your check-out date. After that, we’ll need to make room for the lost treasures of other guests and dispose of any unclaimed belongings. Thank you for your understanding.
