A stone’s throw from Geneva’s boutiques and the shores of Lac Léman, Ruby Claire is well-placed for shopping and waterfront strolling.
Shopping
For those in search of retail therapy, the city's top shops are right on the doorstep. The parallel streets of Rue du Rhône and Rue du Marché are lined with luxury stores and – of course – plenty of watchmakers. Swing by to stock up on designer pieces, or indulge in some top-notch people-watching.
Lake Geneva
To reach the lakeshore, follow your nose to the Jardin d'Anglais with its famous floral clock. From there, you'll spot the Jet d'Eau shooting high above the water. From May to September, be sure to stroll by at dusk to see it in all its illuminated glory. If you're keen to get out on the water, you'll find everything from pedalos to paddleboards, windsurfers to wakeboards, with lessons for first-timers, too.
City centre
Once you've dried off, a short walk inland will take you to the city’s historic heart, where pretty brasseries and buzzing bars encircle the ancient Bourg-de-Four. For science-lovers, CERN is a half-hour hop by tram from Ruby Claire.
Views
For adventurous souls, the Alps and the Jura
are on hand for day hikes with gorgeous views. And when you’re ready for a breather and a sundowner, where better than the historic Bains des Pâquis
– beach by summer, sauna by winter?
