Munich Documentation Centre for the History of National Socialism

As a sign of remembrance and to deal with the terrible history, the Documentation Centre for the History of National Socialism was opened in 2015 and is free of charge until April 2020. The museum tries to offer answers for questions such as ‘How did National Socialism emerge and why was Hitler able to assert his ideological ideas?’. Thus, the permanent exhibition addresses the origins and rise of National Socialism, the special role of Munich and the difficulty to deal with this past. In order to make it more accessible, the exhibition is both in German and English.
